the Commission with our Planning development project list on an ongoing
basis. For questions regarding these projects or projects in the City outside of
that list, the Commissioners can request to agendize the items for more
information, only if they are under the purview of the Commission, during the
“Items from the Commission” portion of the meeting and the item will appear
on the following month’s agenda to give staff time to prepare the information.
ITEMS FROM THE COMMISSION
Vice Chairperson Monzon asked for more information about the 200 Linden project
and what the plan is for the parking meters that used to be there. He also asked
for an update about Lot #15 and Lot #17 which were closed on March 26, 2021.
Additionally, the Commissioner would like an update about the plans for the
Downton Parking Garage #2 as well as an update about the project for the Linden
Avenue Phase II Project.
Commissioner Malfatti asked about the Outdoor Dining Parklets – is there a
specific timeline for when they will be removed? Staff noted that it depends upon
the full opening of indoor dining (currently planned by the state to be June 15,
2021) and then we will give 60 days to allow the removal.
Chairperson Abarca asked about the plan for if there are further lockdowns in the
fall and if the parklets would have to come back then. Staff noted that there are
many unknowns so we have not planned that far in advanced yet but we can
organize quickly if needed since we have already had experience setting up the
program and learning from the process.
Chairperson Abarca adjourned the meeting at 5:15 p.m.
Respectfully submitted.
