1. ADMINISTRATIVE BUSINESS
1)Vision Zero SSF
Chris Espiritu, Secretary to the committee, shared a PowerPoint presentation listing next steps to achieve Vision Zero in
South San Francisco. Chris detailed the program’s origin in Sweden and shared a map of Vision Zero communities in the
United States, as well as the Vision Zero status for policies/plans of Bay Area communities. A data driven approach will be
used to develop an action plan, which will include data from the South San Francisco Office of Traffic Safety. Inter-
departmental staff collaboration and stakeholder outreach will be instrumental in bringing Vision Zero to life in South San
Francisco. City Council will be updated regularly on the program’s progress.
