ATTACHMENT NB - B WğĭƉźĻ {ƦĻźĻƩ \[źĬƩğƩǤ /ƚƒƒƚƓƭ In appreciation of WğĭƉźĻ {ƦĻźĻƩ for Extraordinary Service to the City and Residents of South San Francisco and Dedication to Lifelong Reading and Learning Jackie Speier spent her early years living in South San Francisco, attending local schools, shopping on Grand Avenue, and exploring the many treasures to be found at her local public library. Proudly representing South San Francisco and much of th Congressional District from 2008 through 2022, Jackie Speier has been a strong hts, human rights, LGBTQ+ equality, violence prevention, environmental justice, and government accountability. Prior to her election to Congress, Ms. Speier served on the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors and the California State Legislature. As our local Congresswoman, one last initiatives in 2022 was securing $1.5 million dollars in federal funding to support our Library I Parks and Recreation Center. Her support, advocacy, and deep friendships in our South San Francisco Community are much appreciated and celebrated.
