Please note that due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Library Board of Trustees Meeting will be conducted
by teleconference only pursuant to the provisions of the -25-20 and N-
29-20 issued on March 17, 2020 allowing for deviation of teleconference rules required by the Brown Act
and pursuant to the order of the Health Officer of San Mateo County dated March 31, 2020.
You are invited to offer your suggestions. In order that you may know our method of conducting Library
business, we will proceed as follows:
The regular meetings of the Library Board of Trustees are held on the fourth Tuesday of each month at
6:00 P.M.

you need to do is purchase the standard size plastic shopping bag for $5 per bag and fill the bag
with books, hard cover, and paperback, to take home for some great reading. The Book Sale will
be upstairs at the Main Library MakerSpace during regular operating hours.

NEW BUSINESS
COVID Outreach Grant Presentation Leo Gomez, Supervising Library Specialist
The South San Francisco Public Library received grant funding from the County of San Mateo,
beginning in November2020. The objective was to educate and perform outreach to targetable,
vulnerable population in San Mateo County, and to stop the spread of COVID-19. At the start of

the grant,theoutreach team focused on phone banking, social media and spreading the message
A total of 3,100 phone calls were made, mostly
targeted to the vulnerable population of 65 years and older. Beginning in April 2021, the Library
and other facilities began to opento the public; theoutreach team began focusing on social
distancing messaging and face mask giveaways with the SMCo mask mobile!Staff was also
involved in assisting residents receive information on vaccination sites and misinformationshared
