NEW BUSINESS COVID Outreach Grant Presentation Leo Gomez, Supervising Library Specialist The South San Francisco Public Library received grant funding from the County of San Mateo, beginning in November2020. The objective was to educate and perform outreach to targetable, vulnerable population in San Mateo County, and to stop the spread of COVID-19. At the start of South San Francisco Public Library Board of TrusteesPage 2MeetingMinutes October25, 2022 the grant,theoutreach team focused on phone banking, social media and spreading the message A total of 3,100 phone calls were made, mostly targeted to the vulnerable population of 65 years and older. Beginning in April 2021, the Library and other facilities began to opento the public; theoutreach team began focusing on social distancing messaging and face mask giveaways with the SMCo mask mobile!Staff was also involved in assisting residents receive information on vaccination sites and misinformationshared through outside resources.
