ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2.11 OF ORDINANCE NO. 491 AND
SECTION 11.04.120 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO DESIGNATING HOLIDAYS FOR VEHICLE AND
TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. SECTION 2.11 OF ORDINANCE NO. 491 AND SECTION 11.04.120 OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AMENDED
Section 2.11 of Ordinance No. 491 and Section 11.04.120 of the Municipal Code
of the City of South San Francisco is hereby amended to read as follows:
"11.04.120 Holidays. For the purpose of Chapter 11.08 through 11.71,
"holidays" are:
(a) The first day of January
(b) The third Monday in January
(c) The twelfth day of February
(d) The third Monday in February
(e) The last Monday in May
(f) The fourth day of July
(g) The first Monday in September
(h) The ninth day of September
(i) The second Monday in October
(j) The eleventh day of November
(k) The fourth Thursday in November
(1) The Friday following the fourth Thursday in November
(m) The twenty-fifth day of December
(n) Any other day proclaimed by the City Council to be a holiday.
If the first day of January, the twelfth day of February, the fourth day of
July, the ninth day of September, the eleventh day of November, or the twenty-
fifth day of December falls upon a Sunday, the Monday following is a holiday.
If said days fall upon a Saturday, the Friday preceding is a holiday."
SECTION 5. PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
This Ordinance shall be published once, with the names of those City Council
members voting for or against it, in the Enterprise-Journal, a newspaper of general
circulation in the City of South San Francisco, as required by law, and shall
become effective thirty {30) days from and after its adoption.

Passed and adopted as an Ordinance of the City of South San Francisco at a
regular meeting of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
this 26th day of June , by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Mark N. Addiego, Emanuele N. Damonte,
Gus Nicolopulos; and Roberta Cerri Teglia
