AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2.22.020 AND REPEALING
SECTION 2.22.050 OF THE SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO MUNICIPAL
CODE AND OF ORDINANCE NO. 897, AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE
NO. 947, ENTITLED "SIGNATURES"
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. SECTION 2.22.020 OF THE SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO MUNICIPAL CODE AND OF
ORDINANCE NO. 897, AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 947, AMENDED.
The first sentence of Section 2.22.020 of the South San Francisco Municipal
Code and of Ordinance No. 897, as amended by Ordinance 947, is hereby amended to
read as follows:
"The following officers are authorized to sign checks or warrants (in-
cluding bond redemption checks) and bank signature cards:
A. Office of the City Manager
(1) City Manager
(2) Deputy City Manager, Community Development & Administration
B. Finance Department
(1) Director of Finance
(2) Purchasing Officer."
SECTION 2. SECTION 2.22.050 OF THE SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO MUNCIPAL CODE AND OF
ORDINANCE NO. 897 REPEALED.
Section 2.22.050 of the South San Francisco Municipal Code and of Ordinance
No. 897 entitled "2.22.050 Bond Redemptions" is hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. SEVERABILITY.
If any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of this Ordinance is
for any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional, such decision shall not
affect the validity or constitutionality of the remaining portions of this
Ordinance. The City Council hereby declares that it would have adopted this
Ordinance and each section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase hereof,
irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections, subsections, sentences,
clauses or phrases be declared invalid or unconstitutional.
SECTION 4. PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
This Ordinance shall be published once, with the names of those City Council
members voting for or against the Ordinance, in the Enterprise-Journal, a news-
paper of general circulation in the City of South San Francisco, as required by
law, and shall become effective thirty (30) days from and after its adoption.

Passed and adopted as an Ordinance of the City of South San Francisco at a
regular meeting of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco this 22nd
day of January , 19 86 , by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Mark N. Addie§o, John "Jack" Drago, Richard A. Haffey,
Gus Nicolopulos; and Roberta Cerri Teglia
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
As Mayor of the City of South San Francisco, I do hereby approve the
foregoing Ordinance this
