HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC Meeting 05-04-00 (Reso 2556-2000) - PUD-99-067 PCreso DA RESOLUTION NO. 2556-2000 PLANNING COMMISSION, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO RECOMMENDING THAT THE CITY COUNCIL ADOPT AN ORDINANCE TO ENACT A DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND STANDARD BUILDING COMPANY FOR THE OAK FARMS PROJECT WHEREAS, Standard Building Company (“Applicant”) proposes to demolish an existing historic barn (“Lux Barn”), related out structures and a single family residence and build in its place 32 detached single family residences, including five (5) below market rate units (BMR); and WHEREAS, the South San Francisco Planning Commission held a duly noticed public hearing on May 4, 2000 to consider a Focused Environmental Impact Report, the project and a Development Agreement; and WHEREAS, the project site is located within the El Camino Corridor Redevelopment Area; and WHEREAS, California Redevelopment Law requires that fifteen percent of all new or substantially rehabilitated units developed within a redevelopment project area must be affordable to low or moderate income households; and WHEREAS, the City and the Standard Building Company desire to enter into a Development Agreement to facilitate development of the project and to assure continued affordability of the required below market rate units; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the draft Development Agreement between the City of South San Francisco and Standard Building Company for the Oak Farms Project as contained in Exhibit A and has found the Agreement to be consistent with the City’s General Plan. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission hereby recommends that the South San Francisco City Council approve the Development Agreement. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. * * * * * * * I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was adopted by the Planning Commission of the City of South San Francisco at the regular meeting held on the 4th day of May , 2000 by the following vote: AYES: Commissioner Baldocchi, Commissioner D'Angelo, Commissioner Honan, Commissioner Romero, Commissioner Teglia, Vice Chairperson Meloni, and Chairperson Sim NOES: None ABSTAIN: None ABSENT: None ATTEST: Secretary to the Planning Commission Thomas C.
