As you know, our site is under construction for 338 rental apartment units. We have met with the developer for the proposed Safeway redevelopment at 180 El Camino Real and reviewed the plans and appreciate their desire to redevelop and reinvigorate that site with a new Safeway grocery anchor. It is a very appealing store design and would definitely be an attractive use for the site. The community would benefit greatly with this proposed grocery and ancillary retail. We support this development and hope that you will approve it as well.
