In order that you may know our method of conducting Library business, we proceed as follows: The regular meetings of the Library Board of Trustees are held on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:00 PMin the Main Library, Auditorium, 840 West Orange Avenue ,South San Francisco, California. Public Comment: For those wishing to address the Board of Trustees on any Agenda or non-Agendized item, please complete a Speaker Card available from the Main Library and submit it to the Library's Administrative Assistant. Please be sure to indicate the Agenda Item # you wish to address or the topic of your public comment. California law prevents the Board of Trustees from taking action on any item noton the Agenda (except in emergency circumstances). Your question or problem may be referred to staff for investigation or action (or both) where appropriate or the matter may be placed on a future Agenda for more comprehensive action or a report. When your name is called, please state your name and address (optional) for the Minutes. COMMENTS ARE LIMITED TO THREE (3) MINUTES PER SPEAKER. Thank you for your cooperation. APPROVAL OF MINUTES A motion to approve the amended minutes of the regular September 27, 2016 meeting was made and seconded. A vote was taken and the minutes were approved. PUBLIC COMMENTS Kumkum congratulatedand thankedLibrary staff for dedicating so much time and effort towards thevery successful Grand Avenue Library reopening. DIRECTOR’S REPORT The Board reviewed the Director’s Report. Minor items still need to be retouched and cleaned up at Grand Avenue Library; the contractor is working through the “punch list.”All events and programs were planned and organized very well. Library Openings and Recruitments Updates No major updates oncurrent position openings. Anissa Malady and Anna Talomacontinuein the role of Acting Library Program Managers. Variousnew hourly employees are joining staffto fill South San Francisco Public Library Board of TrusteesPage 2Unapproved Minutes –October 25, 2016 their positions.The Administrative Assistant position remains open; a list of eligible candidates will be coming out soon. NEW BUSINESS Discussion and Motion to cancelthe regular meeting of December 27, 2016 A motion to approve the cancellation of the regular meeting on December 27, 2015 was made and approved. Discussion and Motion to Approve the 2017 Holiday Schedule A motion to approvethe 2017 Holiday Schedule was made and approved. 2017 Slate of Officers The 2017 Slate of Officers has been rescheduledto the November Library Board meeting.
