Public Comment: For those wishing to address the Board of Trustees on any Agenda or non-Agendized item, please complete a Speaker Card available from the Main Library and submit it to the Library's Administrative Assistant. Please be sure to indicate the Agenda Item # you wish to address or the topic of your public comment. California law prevents the Board of Trustees from taking action on any item noton the Agenda (except in emergency circumstances). Your question or problem may be referred to staff for investigation or action (or both) where appropriate or the matter may be placed on a future Agenda for more comprehensive action or a report. When your name is called, please state your name and address (optional) for the Minutes. COMMENTS ARE LIMITED TO THREE (3) MINUTES PER SPEAKER. Thank you for your cooperation. The Library Board President will read successively the items of business appearing on the Agenda. As she completes reading an item, it will be ready for Board discussion or action. A reading and discussion of the book Alice: Memoirs of a Barbary Coast Prostitute along with th editors, Ivy Anderson and Devon Angus will be held at Molloy’s Tavern on Saturday, July 15. Children under the age of tenmust be closely accompanied at all times by a parent or responsible adultcaregiver. The police may be called when children are left unattended.The Library and its staff are not responsible for unattended children. The South San Francisco Public Library welcomes children in both the Mainand Grand Avenue Libraries. We provide a clean, comfortable, and peaceful environment for library users. The safety and well being of young children left unattended in the Library is of serious concern. The Library is a public building open to all members of the community. It is not in the child’s best interest to be left unsupervised. We ask your cooperation in keeping the Library a safe and happy place for all children. All patrons, including children, are expected to follow the rules for appropriate Library behavior. The Patron Conduct Policy isposted in all library facilities. Behaviors not allowed in the Library include (but are not limited to) excessive noise, harassment of others, disruptive or unsafe behavior, tampering with computer hardware and/or software, running, eating, drinking, sitting or lying on the floor, or leaving children unattended. Library staff may suspend library privileges, or take other appropriate action as described in the Suspension of Library Privileges Policy, for violations of the Patron Conduct Policy .
