AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION 2.56.030 RELATED TO
ATTENDANCE AT REGULAR MEETINGS BY THE
PLANNING COMMISSION
The City Council of the City of South San Francisco does
ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 2.56.030, Subdivision (b) of the South
San Francisco Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
(b) Upon a vacancy occurring in a planning commission office
for any reason, including but not limited to: (1) resignation;
(2) council declaration of vacancy for a commissioner's
failure to attend three consecutive regular meetings or
failure to attend more than one-third of the regular meetings
within any twelve month period; or (3) removal by majority
vote of the council, a successor shall be appointed by the
council to fill the unexpired portion of the term.
SECTION 2~
SEVERABILITY.
In the event any section or portion of this ordinance shall be
determined invalid or unconstitutional, such section or portion
shall be deemed severable and all other sections or portions hereof
shall remain in full force and effect.
8ECTION 3:
PUBLZCATIONAND EFFECTIVE DATE.
This ordinance shall be published once, with the names of
those City Councilmembers voting for or against it, in The Times,
a newspaper of general circulation in the city of South San
Francisco, as required by law, and shall become effective thirty
(30) days from and after its adoption.

Adopted as an Ordinance of the City of South Francisco at a
regular meeting of the city Council of the City of South San
Francisco, held the 12th day of June , 1996, by the
following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Joseph A. Fernekes, Eugene R. Mullin, John R.
Penna, Robert Yee and Mayor Jack Drago
NOES: None
ABSTAIN: None
ABSENT: None
