A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO DECLARING THAT A MAJORITY PRO-
TEST HAS NOT BEEN MADE IN THE TREASURE ISLAND
ANNEXATION MATTER.
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that,
WHEREAS~ on the 6th day of August, 1962, said Council
in its Resolution No.3532 entitled "A Resolution of the City
Council of the City of South San Francisco declarin§ its in-
tention to call a special annexation election aod fixing a time
and place for protest by property owners", declared its in-
tention to call a special election and fixed the time and
place for protest in accordance with the Government Code of
the State of California~ said time and place bein§ 8 o'clock
p.m., September llth, 1952~ in the Council Chambers of City
Hall, Grand and Maple Avenues, South San Francisco~ California,
WHEREAS, notice was duly §iven as required by law in that
said Resolution was published pursuant to Section 5065 of the
Government Code in the Burlingame Advance-Star and the Enter-
prise-Journal, newspapers of general circulation~ the first
published in the County of San Mateo of which the territory
proposed to be annexed is a part~ and the second published in
the City of South San Francisco~ and further said Resolution
was posted not less than ten days before said hearin§ in three
public places within the territory proposed to be annexed, and
further written notice of the proposed annexation was made as
required by Section 35119 of the Government Code, all as shown
by affidavits on file in the office of the City Clerk, and~
WHEREAS, said matter came on regularly for hearing at
the time fixed in said Resolution, and was continued success-
ively to the regular Council meetings held September 17,
October 1, October 15, November 5, November 19 and December
3, 1962, at which time said hearing was concluded and closed.
WHEREAS, no. written protests were received and all per-
sons desiring to be heard were fully heard.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED as follows:
That the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
does declare that no majority protest against the annexation
entitled "Treasure Island Annexation" has been made by
owners of property within the territory proposed to be an-
nexed, which territory is more fully described in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regu-
larly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City
of South San Francisco at a veaular meeting held
