HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 3639-1962RESOLUTION NO. 3639 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY CouNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO APPROVING THE PROPOSAL OF THE STATE HIGHWAY EN- GINEER TO CONSTRUCT RAMPS AT THE INTERSECTION OF HICKEY BOULEVARD AND JUNIPERO SERRA FREEWAY, STATE ROUTE 239 RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that: WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that a full interchange is required to adequately control traffic at Hickey Boulevard and Junipero Serra Freeway in connection with the development of State Route 239, and WHEREAS, the proposal of the State Highway Engineer of the State of California for the construction of ramps to and from the South and the acquisition of rights of way for possible future ramps to and from the North at the intersection of Hickey Boulevard and Junipero Serra Freeway, State Route 239, appears to offer an immediate solution with the possi- bility of a full solution in the future. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED that: 1. The City Council does approve the proposal of the State Highway Engineer of the State of California for the construction of ramps to and from the South and the acquisition of rights of way for possible future ramps to and from the North at the Intersection of Hickey Boule- vard and Junipero Serra Freeway, Route 239. 2. That said Council does hereby express its appreciation to the respective departments and officials of the County of San Mateo, State of California, and the United States of America concerned with the planning and development of ii I iii i i [ this project, and does further urge that all necessary steps be taken to provide the means for developing said interchange in the future into a full interchange. on the 17th by the following vote: AYES, COUNCILMEN I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regu- larly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a remular meeting held day of December , 1962 NOES, " ABSENT, " Attest: Leo J.
