OWNER Sujon Chowdhary APPLICANT Alex Ross ADDRESS 772 Almond Avenue PROJECT NUMBER P24-0017: DR24-0002 PROJECT NAME 2nd Story Addition (Case Planner: Victoria Kim) DESCRIPTION Design Review for a 2nd story addition at 772 Almond Drive in the Low Residential Density (RL-8) Zoning District in accordance with Title 20 of the South San Francisco Municipal Code and determination that the project is categorically exempt from CEQA. The Board had the following comments: 1. The Board liked the design concept as the design is compitable with the neighborhood. 2. All the windows should be engery efficient. 3. Consider adding solar panels to the project. 4. Add a street tree in the front yard to help scale the 2nd story addition. Recommend Approval with Conditions 3 OWNER Corina Donze APPLICANT Anna Currant ADDRESS 110 Indio Drive PROJECT NUMBER P24-0029: DR24-0004 PROJECT NAME 2nd Story Addition (Case Planner: Victoria Kim) DESCRIPTION Design Review for a 2nd story addition to an existing single family dwelling unit at 110 Indio Drive in the Low Density Residential (RL-8) Zoning District in accordance with Title 20 of the South San Francisco Municipal Code and determination that the project is categorically exempt from CEQA. The Board had the following comments: 1. The Board liked the design concept. 2. The Board recommends extending the cedar element on the front elevation to help break up the blank wall between the large window on the second floor and the outdoor deck. This will help with the unbalanced appearance. 3. Consider adding the cedar wood element around the garage doors to help articulate the front elevation. 4. Consider adding solar panels to the project. 5. The proposed and existing windows should all match with the same type of coloring and trim and energy efficient windows are recommended. 6. Add a street tree in the front yard to help scale the 2nd story addition. Recommend Approval with Conditions. 4. Miscellaneous - none
