A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO GRANTING A GRADING AND
HAULING PERMIT TO ARTHUR HASKINS, INC.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco that the application of Arthur Haskins, Inc.,
to export approximately 750.000 cubic yards of material from
to the mxemm~atl4m~8, Sec. 26, T. ~ 8., R. 5 W.
in accordance with the application filed Jul~ 8, 1963 ,
same being on file in the Office of the City Clerk, having been
received and the Director of Public Works' recommendation having
been made, it is ordered that a grading and hauling permit be
issued to said Arthur Haskins, Inc., in accordance with the
proposal made.
And further that said permit shall contain provisions
indemnifying and holding the City, its elective officials,
officers and employees harmless from claims and further re-
quiring the conducting of the grading in a manner that will
not injure the property in the vicinity of the land to be graded.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works
shall ascertain by inspection that said grading is performed in
accordance with the permit and upon its completion shall file with
the City Clerk a report stating the results of said inspection
and certifying that the grading has been performed in accordance
with the permit.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a permit shall be issued to
Arthur Haskins, Inc., to transport fill material over the City
streets in accordance with the proposal made, and said Arthur
Haskins, Inc., shall post a bond with the City Clerk to indem-
nify the City for any damages which may be caused to any side-
walks or pavements, sewers or any other public improvement in
transporting said fill material in the amount of two thousand
dollars ($2,000.00).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Arthur Haskins, Inc., shall
be responsible for obtaining consent or permits from any
other public or private agency or person, if such are required,
and shall comply with all laws and regulations of any other
public agency, should they be related to their grading and
hauling operations.
