Adminstrative Business- None 2. OWNER Maria Emma Marmol APPLICANT Sally Szeto ADDRESS 216 8th Lane PROJECT NUMBER P23-0024: DR23-0012 PROJECT NAME New Detached Duplexes (Case Planner: Stephanie Skangos) DESCRIPTION Design Review for the construction of two new 3-story detached duplexes (four units total) with one attached ADU at 216 8th Lane in the Downtown High Residential (DRH) Zoning District in accordance with Title 20 of the South San Francisco Municipal Code, and determination that the project is categorically exempt from CEQA. The Board had the following comments: 1. The Board liked the design concept with the material finishes. 2. The new building on the Aspen Avenue side is out of scale with the neighboring homes. Consider redesigning the building to a smaller scale. 3. Consult a Landscape Architect to prepare a landscape plan and plant and materials board. 4. The landscape plan should clearly show how the ADU is accessed, as well as path of travel on the site with focus on unit access to the common lawn area. Also, consider redesigning the common lawn area into a larger, more usable space for residents. 5. Consider adding pavers along the entrances to the units or incorporate the stone veneers that are being proposed on the new units as pavers Also, consider adding fencing between the two buildings. 6. Add two street trees (one along Aspen Avenue and one along 8th Lane) to help scale the new residential buildings. Recommend Approval with Conditions and submit a Landscaping plan for Design Review Board to review. 3. OWNER Vertical Bridge APPLICANT T-Mobile West LLC ADDRESS 1333 Veterans Blvd PROJECT NUMBER P23-0051: DR23-0011 & MUP23-0002 PROJECT NAME New Rooftop Wireless Antenna (Case Planner: Christy Usher) DESCRIPTION Minor Use Permit and Design Review for a new wireless antenna at 1333 Veterans Blvd in the Business Technology Park High (BTP-H) in accordance with Title 20 of the South San Francisco Municipal Code and determination that the project is categorically exempt from CEQA The Board had the following comments: 1. The Board was in support of the proposed project, as long as the AC hotel was in support of the design. Recommend Approval and proceed to the Minor Use Public hearing.
