CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT
FOR THE REPAIR OF SIX (6) STORM DRAINS ALONG JUNIPERO
SERRA BOULEVARD AND ONE SEWER LINE AT THE PRODUCE
TERMINAL TO BRH-GARVER, INC., IN THE AMOUNT OF $137,975
AND AMEDNDING THE 2002-2003 OPERATING BUDGET (03-7)
WHEREAS, the City desires to award the construction contract to the lowest responsible
bidder, BRH-Garver in an amount not to exceed $137,975 for the repair of six storm drains along
Junipero Serra Boulevard and one sewer line at the Produce Terminal; and
WHEREAS, partial funding for this project is included in the City of South San
Francisco's 2002-2003 Capital Improvement Program budget in the amount of $200,000
($120,152.22 is required plus administration and possible contingencies); and
WHEREAS, an appropriation of $20,000 is required from the Sewer Fund to fund the
sewer repair.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that the City Council hereby awards the construction contract for the repair of six
storm drains along Junipero Serra Boulevard and one sewer line at the Produce Terminal to
BRH-Garver, Inc., in the amount of $137,975 and amends the 2002-2003 Operating Budget
(03-7).
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and ad.othPted by
the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 25 day of
September 2002 by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Joseph A. Fernekes and Karyl Matsumoto,
Mayor Pro Tern Pedro Gonzalez and Mayor Eugene R. Mullin
