HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 37-2002RESOLUTION NO. 37-2002 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF GRANT FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $41,940.33 FROM THE PENINSULA PARTNERSHIP AND AMENDING THE 2001-2002 OPERATING BUDGET (NO. 02-16) WHEREAS, staff recommends the acceptance of a grant from the Peninsula Partnership in an amount of $41,940.33 to support the South San Francisco Community Partnership and the Partnership's Transitional Kindergarten Program; and WHEREAS, grant funding received from the Peninsula Community Foundation, the Peninsula Partnership's fiscal agent, will be used to amend the current budget for the Library Department. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City Council hereby authorizes the acceptance of grant funds in the amount of $41,940.33 from the Peninsula Partnership to support the South San Francisco Community Partnership and the Partnership's Transitional Kindergarten Program and amends the Library Department's 2001/2002 Operating budget (No. 02-16). I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 22nd day of May 2002 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Joseph A. Fernekes, Raymond L. Green and Karyl Matsumoto, Mayor Pro Tern Pedro Gonzalez and Mayor Eugene R. Mullin NOES: None. ABSTAIN: None. ABSENT: None. ATTEST:
