How to submit written Public Comment before the Special City Council Meeting:
Members of the public are encouraged to submit public comments in writing in advance of the meeting via the
eComment tab by 4:30 p.m. on the meeting date. Use the eComment portal by clicking on the following link:
https://ci-ssf-ca.granicusideas.com/meetings or by visiting the City Council meeting's agenda page. eComments
are also directly sent to the iLegislate application used by City Council and staff.
How to provide Public Comment during the Special City Council Meeting:
COMMENTS ARE LIMITED TO THREE (3) MINUTES PER SPEAKER
During a meeting, comments can only be made in person: Complete a Digital Speaker Card located at the
entrance to the Conference Center. Be sure to indicate the Agenda Item # you wish to address or the topic of
your public comment. When your name is called, please come to the podium, state your name and address
(optional) for the Minutes.
American Disability Act:
The City Clerk will provide materials in appropriate alternative formats to comply with the Americans with
Disabilities Act. Please send a written request to City Clerk Rosa Govea Acosta at 400 Grand Avenue, South
San Francisco, CA 94080, or email at [email protected]. Include your name, address, phone number, a brief
description of the requested materials, and preferred alternative format service at least 24-hours before the
meeting.
Accommodations: Individuals who require special assistance of a disability-related modification or
accommodation to participate in the meeting, including Interpretation Services, should contact the Office of the

Resolution canvassing returns and declaring results of the 2024 General Municipal Election of November 5,
2024.
WHEREAS, the 2024 General Municipal Election was consolidated with the Statewide General Election and
held on November 5, 2024, pursuant to Resolution No. 99-2024 and Resolution No. 121-2024, for the election
of two (2) members of the City Council and to consider ballot Measure W.
WHEREAS, the City Clerk certified and presented to the City Council, for its inspection, all returns of the
votes cast, pursuant to California Election Code Section 10264.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that it finds
as follows regarding the General Municipal Election held on November 5, 2024:
1.That there were 37,864 registered voters in the City of South San Francisco and that 26,430 total ballots
were cast in the City of South San Francisco; and
2.That the names of persons voted for as submitted at said General Municipal Election are as follows:
a)As regularly nominated candidates:
Mark Nagales Council Member, District 2
Vivian Ramos Council Member, District 2
James Coleman Council Member, District 4
Avin Sharma Council Member. District 4
b)As write-in candidates:
None
3.That the measures voted upon are as follows

4.Election Results
a)That the record of the votes cast at said General Municipal Election in favor of said candidates
and for and against said measure, as shown by the official count at each of the several precincts
established throughout the City of South San Francisco by the City Council for the purpose of
conducting the consolidated election, is as shown in Exhibit 1 attached hereto, the same being a

tabulation of the votes by precincts.
b)That the total votes cast at said General Municipal Election in favor of Measure W and said
candidates for the Offices of City Council Member as shown by the official count and included
in the total set forth in Exhibit 1 are as follows:
Measure W:
Votes in favor of Measure W 19,842
Votes against Measure W 4,693
City Council, District 2:
Mark Nagales 3,296
Vivian Ramos 1,771
City Council, District 4:
James Hsu Coleman 3,921
Avin M. Sharma 1,960
5.That the City Council of South San Francisco hereby declares as follows:
Mark Nagales was duly elected at said General Municipal Election as South San Francisco City
Councilmember representative of District 2.
James Hsu Coleman, was duly elected at said General Municipal Election as South San Francisco City
Councilmember representative of District 4.
Measure W was duly approved by voters at said General Municipal Election.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that:
1.The City Clerk of South San Francisco shall, and is hereby ordered to, issue Certificates of Election to
Mark Nagales and James Hsu Coleman as members of the City Council for their respective districts.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
