HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 128-2001 RESOLUTION NO. 128-2001 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS FOR A LOAN TO THE FLOW BUll DING IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $45,000 AND A $10,000 GRANT WHEREAS, it is recommended that the City Council authorize the execution of required documents to make available the CDBG loan of $45,000 and the $10,000 matching grant; and WHEREAS, the owner of the Flow Building located at 381-385 Grand Avenue is undertaking a seismic retrofit and fagade improvement of the approximately 1940's structure which houses three businesses; and WHEREAS, the owner has worked with the City staff to determine the best construction methods for the seismic work and to ascertain updated code requirements to be incorporated into the working drawings for this major renovation; and WHEREAS, this undertaking will complete the seismic retrofit of one of the last remaining unreinforced masonry buildings in the downtown business district. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City Council authorizes the execution of the necessary documents for a loan to the Flow Building in an amount not to exceed $45,000 and a $10,000 matching grant. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the necessary documents for a loan to the Flow Building on behalf of the City of South San Francisco. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 12th day of December, 2001 by the following vote: AYES' Councilmembers Joseph A. Femekes, Raymond L. Green and Karyl Matsumoto Mayor Pro Tem Pedro Gonzalez and Mayor Eugene R. Mullin NOES' None. ABSTAIN: None. ABSENT: None. ATTEST: lerk
