PURPOSE OF THE TOUR
The City staff and its zoning consultant, Dyett & Bhatia, are conducting this
field trip in order to gain a shared understanding of neighborhood design
issues. This information will be used to help decide where neighborhood-
specificdesign and development standards may be appropriate.
The map to the right identifies fourteen separate residential neighborhood
areas in the City of South San Francisco that will be examined.
Within each neighborhood area we will look at conditions such as building
height and setbacks, architectural styles, location of garages, roof shapes,
landscaping, and on-street parking. The purpose of the tour is to get your
comments and feedback on these and other factors that define the different
areas shown on the tour map.
During the tour, please write your comments and feedback in the areas pro-
vided. You may also jot down any thoughts or ideas directly on the maps on
the left-hand pages, and on the photos on the right-hand pages.
