RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CREATION OF THE
CDBG RAMPS AND PATHS PROJECT (NO. ST2506),
APPROVING BUDGET AMENDMENT NUMBER 25.046,
AND AUTHORIZING THE ADVERTISEMENT FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF THE PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco is committed to improving pedestrian accessibility
and mobility for all road users; and
WHEREAS, the Complete Streets Improvements Project (No. ST2401) was developed to design
and construct curb ramps and paths at over 80 intersections citywide, enhancing accessibility and safety; and
WHEREAS, the estimated cost to construct the CDBG Ramps and Paths Project (No. ST2506) is
$1,025,000. The City has allocated $861,980.78 in prior -year Community Development Block Grant
(CDBG) Action Plans toward these public improvements. The City anticipates an additional $172,319.00 in
CDBG funding through the pending PY 2025-2026 Action Plan. The project scope may be adjusted based on
actual funding allocations; and
WHEREAS, advancing Project No ST2506 to the procurement phase aligns with the timely
performance stipulations of the CDBG Action Plan and allows the City to take advantage of current market
conditions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the foregoing recitals are true and correct and made
a part of this Resolution.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of South San Francisco:
1.Approves the creation of the CDBG Ramps and Paths Project (No. ST2506) to construct curb
ramps and pedestrian paths at various locations throughout the City.
2.Approves Budget Amendment Number 25.046 to adjust projected revenues and expenditures for
Fiscal Year 2024-25 accordingly.
3.Authorizes the advertisement for construction bids in accordance with applicable procurement
procedures.
4.Authorizes the City Manager or designee to take any other actions necessary to effectuate the
purpose of this Resolution that do not materially increase the City's obligations, including execution of any
agreements for other documents, subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the adoption of this resolution is not a "project" subject to the
California Environmental Quality Act.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.

At a meeting of the City Council on 3/26/2025, a motion was made by Councilmember Nicolas,
seconded by Councilmember Coleman, that this Resolution be approved. The motion passed.
