HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 57-2001RESOLUTION NO. 57-2001 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN A LETTER OF ENGAGEMENT, A FEE AGREEMENT AND OTHER DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY WITH THE WAYNE SEMINOFF COMPANY FOR UNCLAIMED FUNDS RECOVERY SERVICES WHEREAS, the Wayne Seminoff Company specialized in locating and recovering unclaimed funds on behalf of clients; and WHEREAS, Wayne Seminoff Company has indicated that it located in excess of $100,000 in some type of legal settlement funds belonging to the City of South San Francisco; and WHEREAS, for providing this service, the Seminoff Company charges its clients a fee of 38% of any unclaimed funds it provides. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to sign a Letter of Engagement, a Fee Agreement and other documents on behalf of the City with Wayne Seminoff Company for unclaimed funds recovery services. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 27th day of June, 2001 by the following vote: AYES' Councilmembers Pedro Gonzalez, Karvl Matsumoto and John R. Penna, Mayor Pro Tern Eugene Mullin and Mayor Joseph A. Fernekes NOES' None. ABSTAIN: None. ABSENT: None. ATTEST:
