HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 63-2008 RESOLUTION NO. 63-2008 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT TO CASEY CONSTRUCTION FOR THE SHAW ROAD STORM DRAIN UPGRADE - PROJECT CIP NO. 51 WHEREAS, on April 20, 2008, staff issued a Request for Proposals for the Shaw Road Stonn Drain Upgrade, Project No. 51-13231-9916 ("Project"), for the installation of new, larger stolln drain piping along the east side of Shaw Road and upgrade three existing catch basins; and WHEREAS, staff received ten proposals, and the lowest bid for the Project was fron1 Casey Construction of Elnerald Hills, California, for $34,800; and WHEREAS, staff recolll1nends awarding a contract to Casey Construction for the Shaw Road Stolln Drain Upgrade Project in an anlount not to exceed $34,800; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City Council hereby: 1. Awards the construction contract for the Shaw Road Storm Drain Upgrade, Project No. 51-13231-9916 to Casey Construction of Elnerald Hills, Califoll1ia, conditioned on Casey Construction's tiInely execution of the proj ect contract and submission of all required documents, including but not limited to, executed bonds, certificates of insurance, and endorselnents, in accordance with the project bid documents. 2. Authorizes the City Manager to execute the documents necessary to effectuate the contract on behalf of the City Council upon tiInely sublnission by Casey Construction of the signed project contract and all other required doculnents, subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney. * * * * * I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 25th day of June 2008 by the following vote: AYES: Councihnelnbers Mark N.
