HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 89-2001RESOLUTION NO. 89-2001 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT WITH VAN METER WILLIAMS POLLACK TO PREPARE THE CHESTNUT AVENUE LAND USE AND URBAN DESIGN PLAN WHEREAS, in 2000, Van Meter Williams Pollack was hired by the City of South San Francisco to prepare the South San Francisco BART Station Transit Village Plan and Ordinance; and, WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco is interested in balancing the commercial expansion needs for existing businesses with the community's need to provide housing; and, WHEREAS, staff recommends that Van Meter Williams Pollack prepare the Chestnut Avenue Land Use and Urban Design Plan because the firm is the land use planning experience in South San Francisco and is qualified to complete the project; and, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract with Van Meter Williams Pollack in an amount not to exceed $49,800.00 for preparation of the Chestnut Avenue Land Use and Urban Design Plan. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, held on the 26th day of September, 2001, by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Pedro Gonzalez, Karyl Matsumoto and John R. Penna, Mayor Pro Tem Eugene R. Mullin and Mayor Joseph A. Fernekes NOES: None. ABSTAIN: None. ABSENT: None. ATTEST: d/Clerk
