HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 93-2001RESOLUTION NO. 93-2001 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE 2001-2002 OPERATING BUDGET (NO. 02-4) TO INCLUDE THE $49,153 GRANT FROM THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, BUREAU OF JUSTICE ASSISTANCE TO THE SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO POLICE DEPARTMENT WHEREAS, the Omnibus Fiscal Year 1996 Appropriations Act, (Public Law 104-134), authorized the Director of the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) to make funds available to units of local government under the Local Law Enforcement Block Grants Program; and, WHEREAS, the purpose of the LLEBG Program is to reduce crime and improve public safety; and, WHEREAS, jurisdictions that are awarded the funds must meet a 10% matching funds requirement; and, WHEREAS, the matching funds will be transferred from an existing departmental budget account. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City Council hereby approves an amendment to the 2001-2002 Operating Budget (02-4) to include $49,153 grant received from the United States Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance to the South San Francisco Police Department. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, held on the 26th day of September, 2001, by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Pedro Gonzalez, Karyl Matsumoto and John R. Penna, Mayor Pro Tem Eugene R. Mullin and Mayor Joseph A. Femekes NOES: None. ABSTAIN: None. ABSENT: None. ATTEST:
