HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 87-2000RESOLUTION NO. 87-2000 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR THE SEISMIC RETROFIT OF THE PEDESTRIAN BRIDGES ON HILLSIDE BOULEVARD AND JUNIPERO SERRA BOULEVARD TO VALENTINE CORPORATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $176,214 AND AWARDING CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT TO COMMUNITY SERVICE CONSULTING GROUP IN THE AMOUNT OF $24,860 WHEREAS, staff desires to award the construction contract for the Seismic Retrofit of the Pedestrian Bridges on Hillside Boulevard to the lowest responsible bidder, Valentine Corporation; and WHEREAS, staff desires to award Construction Management to Community Services Consulting Group in the amount of $24,860; and WHEREAS, funding for this project is from the Highway Bridge Replacement and Rehabilitation Program Mandatory Seismic Retrofit fund in the amount of $300,000. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City Council hereby awards the construction contract for the Seismic Retrofit of the Pedestrian Bridges on Hillside Boulevard and Junipero Serra Boulevard to Valentine Corporation in the amount of $176,214 and awards construction management to Community Services Consulting Group in the amount of $24,860. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 12 day of July, 2000 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Pedro Gonzalez, Eugene R. Mullin, and John r. Penna, Mayor Pro Tem Joseph A. Fernekes and Mayor Karyl Matsumoto NOES: None ABSTAIN: None. ABSENT: None. ATTEST: puty City Clerk
