HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 94-2000RESOLUTION NO. 94-2000 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE VACATION OF A 3,620 SQUARE FOOT PORTION OF THE EASTERLY END OF FORBES BOULEVARD AT ITS INTERSECTION WITH DNA WAY WHEREAS, Genentech, Inc. has requested that the City vacate a portion of the public street right-of-way at the easterly end of Forbes Boulevard where it intersects DNA Way; and WHEREAS, the purpose of this request is to permit the installation of a private bus shelter at the end of Forbes Boulevard to accommodate the employees that use the Genentech campus shuttle bus system; and WHEREAS, to accommodate their busses, Genentech will install the bus shelter and make the necessary modifications to the street at no cost to the City; and WHEREAS, the applicant has paid the City's filing fee for the abandonment request; and WHEREAS, vacating this portion of the Forbes Boulevard will reduce the City's future street maintenance costs by a very small amount. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City Council hereby adopts a resolution approving the vacation of a 3,620 square foot portion of the easterly end of Forbes Boulevard at its intersection with DNA Way. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a Regular meeting held on the 26th day of July , 2000 by the following vote: AYES: NOES: Councilmembers Pedro Gonzalez, Eugene R. Mullin and John R. Penna, and Mayor Karyl Matsumoto None. ABSTAIN: None. ABSENT: Mayor Pro Tem Joseph A. Fernekes F:\File Cabinet\RESO\tbrbes.res.doc ATTEST: City Clerk
