HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 20-2009RESOLUTION NO. 20-2009 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY ENGINEER TO FILE AN APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL AMERICAN RECOVERY AND :REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009 (ARRA) FUNDING AND PROVIDING ASSURANCE OF PROJECT COMPLETION WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco is submitting an application to the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) for approximately $963,000 in funding from the federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) for the 2009 Street Resurfacing Project for the MTC Regional ARRA Program (MTC Resolution No. 3885); and WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco is an eligible project sponsor for ARRA funds; and WHEREAS, this resolution will authorize the City Engineer to act as the City Manager's designee to execute and file an application with MTC for ARRA funding for the projects shown on Exhibit A ("Project"); and WHEREAS, if the application is successful, proceeds for the Project will be funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) and the City shall complete the Project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of South San Francisco hereby authorizes the City Engineer to file an application for federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) funding and providing the City's statement of assurance that it will complete the project. * * ~ * ~ I hereb}- certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 25th day of February, 2009 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Pedro Gonzalez, Richard A.
