HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 142-2000 RESOLUTION NO. 142-2000 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE FISCAL YEAR 2001-2002 TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT ACT, ARTICLE 3 PROJECTS AND AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL OF CLAIMS WHEREAS, the Transportation Development Act, Article 3 provides funds for the construction of bicycle and pedestrian projects in San Mateo County; and WHEREAS, applications must be submitted to the City/County Association of Governments of San Mateo County by December 1, 2000 for the fiscal year 2001-2002 TDA funding cycle; and WHEREAS, the Bikeway and Pedestrian Advisory Committee will review and prioritize the applications received; and WHEREAS, staff is requesting the Bay Trail Improvements and Bicycle Route Signage Project be approved for submission; and WHEREAS, although there is no required local match for the grant funds, some local funding improves the probability of funding; and WHEREAS, the project cost for the Bay Trail is $157,000 with $100,000 requested from the TDA grant; and WHEREAS, the project cost for the Bicycle Route Signage project is $9,900 with $6,000 requested from the TDA grant; and WHEREAS, estimated funding from either Gas Tax or Capital Improvement will be $60,900. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City Council hereby approves the Fiscal Year 2001-2002 Transportation Development Act, Article 3 (TDA) projects and authorizes submittal of claims. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a Special meeting held on the 21 st day of November ,2000 by the following vote: AYES' NOES: ABSTAIN: ABSENT: Councilmembers Pedro Gonzalez and Eugene R.
