CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A REQUEST FOR SAN
MATED COUNTY HOME FUNDS FOR THE
REHABILITATION OF 714-718 LINDEN AVENUE
WHEREAS, in 1991, Congress passed the HOME Investment Partnership Act (HOME),
providing a source of federal financing for a variety of affordable housing projects; and
WHEREAS, the City's Economic and Community Development department sponsors
affordable housing construction, acquisition, and rehabilitation efforts by leveraging State,
Federal, and local redevelopment funding sources; and
WHEREAS, the City is presenting an application to the County of San Mateo HOME
Consortium requesting $150,000 in HOME funds to complete the rehabilitation and
improvement of Redevelopment Agency-owned housing units located at 714-718 Linden
Avenue ("Project");
WHEREAS, this resolution will authorize staff to execute and file an application with the
County of San Mateo HOME Consortium for funds to complete the Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco hereby authorizes staff to file an application for $150,000 in HOME funds from the
San Mateo County HOME Consortium for the rehabilitation project at 714-718 Linden Avenue
and designates Joy Adams as the contact person for the City with regard to the application.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and ado~ted by
the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 22" day of
April, 2009 by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Pedro Gonzalez, Richard A. Garbarino, and Kevin Mullin,
Vice Mayor Mark Addiego and Ma oar K_ar~Matsumoto
