CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH CIVIC:PLUS FOR HOSTING,
DESIGN AND MAINTENANCE SERVICES FOR THE CITY' S
INTERNET & INTERNET WEBSITES
WHEREAS, staff recommends that the City Council award a contract to CivicPlus of
Manhattan, Kansas for hosting, design, and maintenance services regarding the City's Internet and
Intranet websites, in an amount not to exceed $43,300; and
WHEREAS, Section 4.04.040 of the South San Francisco Municipal Code (SSFMC)
expressly authorizes the City to take advantage of valid contract terms that have been negotiated by
another governmental agency, where that agency had used. a quote or bid process substantially
conforming with SSFMC Chapter 4.04 and State law; and
WHEREAS, staff have verified that the City of Pleasant Hill's agreement with CivicPlus
satisfied these requirements;
WHEREAS, the proposed agreement with CivicPlus will use valid contract terms negotiated
by Pleasant Hill; and
WHEREAS, funding is included in the 2008-2009/2009-2010 CIP budgets in the amount of
$43,300; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco hereby:
1. Awards a contract to CivicPlus of Manhattan, Kansas in the amount of $43,300 for
the hosting, design, and maintenance of the City's Internet and Intranet websites,
conditioned on CivicPlus' timely execution of the project contract and submission of
all required documents, including certificates of insurance.
2. Authorizes the City Manager to execute the Agreement on behalf of the City Council
of the City of South San Francisco upon timely submission by CivicPlus of the
signed project contract and all other required documents, subject to approval as to
form by the City Attorney.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the
City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 22"d day of April,
2009 by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Pedro Gonzalez, Richard A. Garbarino, and Kevin Mullin,
Vice Mayor Mark Addiego and Mayor Ka~r~Matsumoto
