CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE FISCAL YEAR 2000-2001
TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT ACT, ARTICLE 3 (TDA)
PROJECTS AND AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL OF CLAIMS
WHEREAS, the Transportation Development Act, Article 3 provides funds for the
construction of bicycle and pedestrian projects in San Mateo County; and
WHEREAS, applications must be submitted to the City/County Association of
Governments of San Mateo County by December 3, 1999 for the Fiscal Year 2000-2001 TDA
finding cycle; and
WHEREAS, the Bikeways and Pedestrian Advisory Committee will review and prioritize
the applications received; and
WHEREAS, staff is requesting the following projects be approved for submission:
1. Bay Trail Improvements - Improvements to the Bay Trail in the vicinity of
Littlefield Avenue.
2. Bicycle Route Signage Project - Installation of bicycle route signage along
various bicycle routes within the City.
WHEREAS, although there is no required local match for the grant funds, some local
funding improves the probability of funding; and
WHEREAS, local funding will be provided by either Gas Tax or Capital Improvement
funding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that the City Council hereby approves the Fiscal Year 2000-2001 Transportation
Development Act, Article 3 (TDA) projects and authorizes submittal of claims.

Council of the City of South San Francisco at a reoul ar meeting held on the 17 day
