CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO,
STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A GRANT FROM
TIlE PENINSULA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION IN THE AMOUNT OF
$10,000 TO FUND A SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO COMMUNITY
PARTNERSHIP PROJECT AND APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE
1999-2000 OPERATING BUDGET (NO. 00-8)
WHEREAS, the grant money, underwritten by the David and Lucille Packard
Foundation, will be used to support South San Francisco Community Partnership
programs and focus groups relating to Proposition 10 in San Mateo County; and
WHEREAS, $9,500 of this grant money will be allocated for the current fiscal
year; and
WHEREAS, the Community Learning Center trust fund will be credited with
$500 for administration of this grant and facilitation of focus groups; and
WHEREAS, receipt of these funds does not commit the City to ongoing funding
after the close of grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
South San Francisco hereby authorizes the acceptance of a grant from the Peninsula
Community Foundation in the amount of $10,000 to fund a South San Francisco
Community Partnership Project and approves an amendment to the 1999-2000 Operating
Budget (No. 00-8)
