HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 56-2009RESOLUTION NO. 56-2009 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION ADOPTING A REPORT OF STORMWATER MANAGEMENT SERVICES FEES FOR FISCAL YEAR 2009- 2010 PURSUANT TO SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION 14.04.110 WHEREAS, the City Council has given notice and on June 24, 2009, held a public hearing as required by law on the subject storm water rates; and WHEREAS, the rates imposed and reflected in the Report of Stormwater Management Services Fee for Fiscal Year 2009-2010 are the same as the unit rates imposed in 2009-2008. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council, by a minimum two- thirds vote, hereby adopts the Report of Stormwater Management Services fee for Fiscal Year 2009-2010, and directs that the rates so established shall be collected on the official tax assessment roll, together with real property taxes, and that the amount shall constitute liens upon the properties which shall be effective at the same time and to the same extent as is provided for by the law in the case of real property taxes, with like penalties for delinquencies. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 24t'' day of June, 2009 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Pedro Gonzalez, Richard A. Garbarino, and Kevin Mullin, Ma oy_r Karyl Matsumoto NOES: N ABSTAIN: None ABSENT: Vice Mayor Mark Addie¢o ATTEST: ~~~Q- ~1.~.- Deputy City Clerk REPORT OF STORMWATER MANAGEMENT SERVICE CHARGES FOR 2009-2010 IN ACCORDANCE WITH CHAPTER 14.04 OF THE SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO MUNICIl'AL CODE In accordance with Chapter 14.04 of the South San Francisco Municipal Code, the following report prepared as of June 4, 2009, is submitted. Tlvs report describes the procedure for charging those parcels of real property, which receive benefits of stormwater system services, and the amount of the annual charge, which will be imposed against each parcel for fiscal year 2009-2010. Summary of Charges All single-family residential properties $ 123,954.48 All multi-family residential properties $ 64,466.80 (Including duplexes) All commerciaUilldustrial $ 217,497.20 Parlting lots $ 13,062.88 Vacant $ 5,900.04 TOTAL $ 424,881.40 This report refers to and incorporates by reference the report entitled "Notice of Proposed City of South San Francisco Stormwater Management Program Rate Structure" for fiscal year 2009-2010 prepared by and on f le in the Office of the Technical Services Supervisor. That report summarizes the 2009-2010 charges that will be proposed by the City Council on June 24, 2009. Upon adoption of the proposed charges, or amendments thereto, a report entitled "City of South San Francisco Stormwater System Charges," prepared by Engineering Data Services, Los Altos, California will be completed; it will describe the amount of annual charge imposed against each parcel, by Assessor's Parcel Number, for Fiscal Year 2009-2010. AlI of these documents, including this report, shall be filed with the County Tax Collector or Auditor.
