RESOLUTION NO. 2-2000 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $6,000 FROM KAISER PERMANENTE MEDICAL CENTER TO SUPPORT TWO PROGRAMS BENEFITING CHILDREN AND SENIORS THROUGH THE LIBRARY DEPARTMENT AND THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS, RECREATION AND MAINTENANCE SERVICES AND AMENDING THE 1999/2000 OPERATING BUDGET (NO. 00-10) WHEREAS, Kaiser Permanente has allocated grant funds to support non-profit organizations in Bay Area Counties; and WHEREAS, Kaiser Permanente Medical Center has decided this year to focus its grant funding on Northern San Mateo County projects addressing senior and adolescent issues; and WHEREAS, staff desires to accept a grant in the amount of $6,000 from Kaiser Permanente Medical Center and to amend the Library Department's 1999/2000 budget by $3,500 and the Department of Parks, Recreation and Maintenance Services' 1999/2000 budget by $2,500; and WHEREAS, receipt of these grants does not commit the City to additional funding after the close of the projects. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City Council hereby authorizes the acceptance of a grant in the amount of $6,000 from Kaiser Permanente Medical Center to support two programs benefiting children and seniors through the Library Department and the Department of Parks, Recreation and Maintenance Services and amends the 1999/2000 Operating Budget (00-10). I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a Regular meeting held on the 12 th day of January , 2000 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers James L. Datzman, Eugene R. Mullin and John R. Penna, Mayor Pro Tem Joseph A.
