HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 77-2009RI~SOLUTION NO. 77-2009 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION ACCEPTING $137, 588 FROM THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA UNDER THE OFFICE OF TRAFFIC SAFETY - DUI ENFORCEMENT AND AWARENESS PROGRAM AND AMENDING THE POLICE DEPARTMENT'S 2009/2010 OPERATING BUDGET WHEREAS, staff recommends the acceptance of a grant in the amount of $137,588 from the State of California Office of Traffic Safety -DUI Enforcement and Awareness Program to reduce the number of people injured and killed in alcohol-related traffic collisions; and WHEREAS, the funds will bf; used to augment the operating budget of the Police Department for FY 2009/2010. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City Council hereby accepts funding in the amount of $$137,588 from the State of California Office of Traffic Safety, and amends the 2009-2010 Police Department Operating Budget to reflect this increase of funds.. * ~ I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South Sail Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 26th day of August, 2009 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Peclro Gonzalez, Richard A.
