This baseline summary meets the- monitoring and reporting requirements as specified in the city-approved Transportation Demand Management (TDM) Plan for Britannia:Modular LabsI (333- 351 Allerton Avenue). During the. week of October 13 through October 17, 2008, the Britannia Modular Labs I (Allerton) Commute Program conducted a survey encompassing 100 employees throughout the project..site. This survey summary reflects responses for all employees at Proteolix. The purpose of the Britannia Modular Labs I survey was to provide first-time documentation of TDM accomplishments and meet the City of South San Francisco's reporting requirements. In addition, survey results provide a snapshot of current alternative mode-use levels. Highlights of -the. survey results include: - First-time employee survey response rate - 58% - Alternative mode-use range - 24% to 42% Single occupant vehicle (SOV) .respondents who would consider using an .alternative occasionally - 79.6% Arriving commuters outside peak morning hours - 22% - Departing commuters outside peak evening hours -18.6% HDR ~ The Hayt Company 1325 J Street Phone:.{916) 471-!Yf00 HDR Engineering, Inc. Kalkin December 1, 2008 Page 2 of 2 The City requires the Britannia Modular Labs I project to use the City TDM Ordinance 1300-2001 methodology, which dictates that non-survey participants be counted as single-occupant vehicle (SOV) drivers. Utilizing this methodology, the Britannia Modular Labs I project achieved a 24% alternative-mode-use rate. This rate is four percentage points from achieving the 28% goal. The proactive efforts of the Britannia Modular Labs I commute program; in tandem. with the individual tenant-employer programs, will continue to grow the alternative commute mode usage rate in the coming years. Please. note that the current tenant at this project site does not provide transit. subsidies or commute allowances for their employees. A copy of the 2008 survey results summary and graphics are enclosed for your review.
