Oyster Point Employee Commute Survey results. This summary meets the TD1VI monitoring and reporting requirements as specified in the 2000 Bay West Cove TDM Plan. An impressive 83% of employees participated in the survey. We are delighted to reportthat this project has exceeded the City's 35A/° alternative mode-use requirement.. During the week of October 13 through October 17, 2008, the Britannia Oyster Point Commute Program conducted a survey encompassing 702 employees throughout the campus. This survey summary reflects responses for all campus employees (from two tenant employer groups). The purpose of the Britannia Oyster Pointaurvey was to provide annual documentation.' of TDM accomplishments. and meet the City of South San Francisco's reporting requirements. In addition, survey results provide a snapshot of current alternative mode-use levels. Highlights of the survey results include: - Employee survey response rate - 83% Alternativemode-use range..- 37% to 44% - Single occupant vehicle (SOV) respondents who .would consider. using an alternative occasionally - 66.5% - Arriving commuters outside peak. morning. hours -17.4% - Departing commuters outside peak evening .hours - 24.8 HDR ~ the Hoyt Company 13?5J9teet Fiiare: (916j44&2440 HOREngineering,Inc. Kalkin December 1, 2008 Page 2 of 2 The City requires the Britannia Oyster Point project to use the Bay West Cove methodology, which dictates that non-survey participants be counted as SOV drivers. Utilizing this methodology, the Britannia Oyster Point project achieved a 37% alternative mode-use rate. The aggregate efforts of the Britannia Oyster Point commute program, in tandem with the individual. tenant-employers programs, will likely continue #o maintain and exceed the alternative 35% commute mode usage goal. The two employers (Rigel and Amgen) .offer significant employee transit and commuter subsidies. and benefits (which include carpoolers, bicyclists, and pedestrians).
