CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPROVAL AND EXECUTION OF
A COOPERATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN SOUTH SAN
FRANCISCO, DALY CITY AND SAN MATEO COUNTY FOR THE
PURPOSE OF CONTINUING A CONSORTIUM REQUIRED TO
RECEIVE HOME FUNDS
WHEREAS, the National Affordable Housing Act of 1990 provides for the distribution
of federal funds for affordable housing projects through the HOME Investment Partnerships Act
to metropolitan cities, urban counties, or consortia whose formula allocation for distribution is
equal to or greater than $500,000; and
WHEREAS, the County solicits the cooperation and co-participation of public entities
such as the City of South San Francisco in a consortium for the purpose of receiving HOME
Funds; and
WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco, the City of Daly City and the County of
San Mateo formed a consortium in 1991 to receive said funds; and
WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco desires to enter into a new HOME
Consortium agreement with the County of San Mateo in order to continue receiving HOME
allocations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San,
California that:
The "Cooperation Agreement" between the City of South San Francisco and San
Mateo County for the purpose of furnishing a consortium required to receive
HOME Funds under the National Affordable Act is hereby approved.
The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the Agreement on behalf of the
City. A copy of the Agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the
City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a Requl ar meeting held on the 28
