HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 126-1999RESOLUTION NO. 126-99 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CONTINUATION OF THE SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO'S DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISE (DBE) PROGRAM THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 2000 WHEREAS, the City Council desires to continue its current goal for the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) which is to utilize disadvantaged businesses to the maximum extent feasible, but not less than 10% of the contract cost for federally assisted construction projects funded between October 1, 1999 to September 30, 2000 and instruct the Director of Public Works to advertise these goals in the San Mateo Times to allow for comments on the goals; and WHEREAS, the cost for the program is included in the individual Capital Improvement Projects. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of South San Francisco hereby authorizes the continuation of the City's current goal for its Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program which is to utilize disadvantaged businesses to the maximum extent feasible, but not less than 10% of the contract cost for federally assisted construction projects funded through September 30, 1999. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works is instructed to advertise these goals in the San Mateo Times to allow for comments on the goals. I hereby certify that the foregoing is a tree copy of the resolution adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco in a meeting thereof held on the 22 day of Se. ptombor, 1999 by the following: AYES: Councilmembers Joseph A.
