HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 91-2002RESOLUTION NO. 91-2002 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION EXTENDING THE TERM LIMITS OF HOUSING AUTHORITY COMMISSIONERS FROM TWO CONSECUTIVE TERMS TO FOUR CONSECUTIVE TERMS WHEREAS, the Housing Authorities Law (Section 34200 et. seq. of the Health and Safety Code) authorizes the City Council by resolution to activate the Housing Authority of the City of South San Francisco, and WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 799, adopted March 3, 1941, the City Council of the City of South San Francisco did make the necessary determinations for the activation of said Housing Authority, and WHEREAS, the Housing Authorities law also authorizes the City Council to make appointments of Commissioners to the Housing Authority Board of Commissioners, and WHEREAS, it is and has been the policy of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco to extend the number of consecutive terms for which citizens may be appointed to the various boards and commissions of said City to four consecutive terms. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City Council hereby extends the term limits of the Housing Authority Commissioners from two consecutive terms to four consecutive terms. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 9th day of October 2002 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Joseph A. Fernekes, Raymond L. Green, Karyl Matsumoto, and Mayor Pro Tem Pedro Gonzalez NOES: Mayor Eugene R. Mullin ABSTAIN: None. ABSENT: None. ATTEST: City Clerk
