CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE 1997-98
CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (CIP 98-22) BUDGET IN THE
AMOUNT OF $175,000 TO PURCHASE THE PARCEL LOCATED AT THE
SOUTHEAST CORNER OF CHESTNUT AND GRAND AVENUE
WHEREAS, on April 8, 1998, the City Council approved the executon of the Purchase
Agreement and Certificate of Acceptance for the acquisition of the parcel (APN 012-182-010) located at
the southeast corner of Chestnut and Grand Avenue and directed the City Clerk to record the Grant Deed;
and
WHEREAS, the budget for purchasing this vacant parcel is not part of the project for the Chestnut
Avenue Widening Project; and
WHEREAS, the budget set aside for the widening project is strictly for design and construction
only, and not for the purchase of land; and
WHEREAS, funding for the $175,000 amendment to purchase the parcel is available in the Gas
Tax fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that it hereby approves an amendment to increase the 1997-98 Capital Improvement Program
(CIP 98-22) budget in the amount of $175,000 from funds available in the Gas Tax Fund to purchase the
parcel located at the Southeast corner of Chestnut and Grand Avenue.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City
Council of the City of South San Francisco at a re gu 1 a r meeting held on the 22nd day of_
