CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE 1997-1998
OPERATING BUDGET (No. 98-3) TO ADD $132,479.44 TO THE POLICE
DF~PARTMENT BUDGET
WHEREAS, the City has received $132,479.44 from AB 3229 funds; and
WHEREAS, funds will be used to staff two officer positions, strengthen the bicycle patrol
program, acquire additional communication and safety equipment and for overtime costs to sustain these
special enforcement programs; and
WHEREAS, there is no general fund obligations; the entire amount is provided by the State.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that it hereby approves an amendment ( No. 98-3) to the 1997-1998 operating budget to add
$132,479.44 to the Police Department budget.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City
Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regul ar meeting held on the 1 ?th day of_

AYES: Councilmembers James L. Datzman, Euqene
Penna and Mayor Joseph A. Fernekes
NOES: None
ABSTAIN: None
ABSENT: Councilmember Robert Yee
