CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION FIXING A SPECIAL PROPERTY
TAX FOR FISCAL YEAR 1996-97
WHEREAS, the voters of the City of South San Francisco on
March 8, 1978, approved Proposition P which authorized the City
Council to levy a special property tax not to exceed a maximum
annual rate of one and one quarter cents ($0.0125) per One Hundred
Dollars ($100.00) of full cash value on all taxable property within
the City, in addition to the authorized maximum annual property tax
rate, for the purpose of acquiring, using and making other payments
for improvements of real property to be used for police, fire, and
other municipal purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of South San Francisco that:
1. In addition to the authorized maximum annual property tax
rate, the Council does hereby fix a special property tax for fiscal
year 1996-97 at Twelve Hundredths Cents ($0.0012) upon each One
Hundred Dollars ($100.00) of full cash value of all property
enumerated and assessed as being in the City of South San
Francisco, including real, personal, mixed and other property of
whatever nature taxable by the city.
2. The City Clerk shall forward a certified copy of this
resolution to the County Auditor so that the auditor may compute
and enter in the assessment book the special tax rate.
