CITY COUNCIL~ CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN
FRANCISCO'S DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISE
(DBE) PROGRAM THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 1996
WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of South San Francisco,
by its Resolution Nos.104-81, 160-84 and 99-88 has previously
adopted the City of San Francisco Disadvantaged Business Enterprise
(DBE) Program;i and
WHEREAS, ithe Surface Transportation and Uniform Relocation
Assistance Ack of 1987 requires that goals be reviewed and updated
each year in order to receive federal funds for necessary street
improvements projects; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of South San Francisco that it continue its goal for the
Disadvantagedl Business Enterprise Program which is to utilize
disadvantagedibusiness to the maximum extent feasible, but not less
than 10% of the contract cost for federally assisted construction
projects funded between October 1, 1995 through September 30, 1996.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council that it instruct
the Director Of Public Works to advertise these goals in the San
Mateo Times t° allow for comments on the goals.
