CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION APPROVING BUDGET AMENDMENT
NO. 96-9 TO THE 1995-1996 OPERATING BUDGET
RELATING TO THE RECYCLING AND WASTE
PREVENTION PROGRAM FOR CITY SCHOOLS
WHEREAS, in 1990 the County of San Mateo granted the City
$13,000 to promote curbside recycling activities; and
WHEREAS, the goal of the funding was to increase residential
participation and to divert materials from the landfill;
WHEREAS, these funds have been received, but not yet spent,
and there is a need to provide resources and education on Waste
Prevention and Recycling to the City's school children.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of South San Francisco that:
1. It hereby authorizes and approves the transfer of
available funds for the implementation of an educational assembly
program for the City's schools.
2. It kereby amends the 1995-1996 Operating Budget (BA 96-9)
to transfer $13,000 from the available grant fund balance to the
Recycling and Waste Prevention Program budget to fund this Program.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 14th day of
February , 1996 by the following vote:

Councilmembers Joseph A. Fernekes, Eugene R. Mullin, John R.
P~nna, Robert Yee and Mayor Jack Drago
