CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A SISTER CITY RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN
THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AND PASIG CITY
WltE~AS, the City of South San Francisco, California, U.S.A. sincerely wishes to
promote friendship and understanding among the many ethnic groups within its jurisdiction; and
WHERI~AS, Pasig City, a Republic of the Philippines, has enjoyed a close and harmonious
relationship with the City of South San Francisco and has passed a resolution establishing this
Sister City relationship between the two cities; and
WH]E~AS, it is anticipated that this symbolic relationship would promote and enhance
operation, partnership and valuable exchange of information and technology in the area of
education, culture, tourism, business, science and other fields of mutual concern; and
NOW, THER.EFOR/:~, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that it hereby approves and designates Pasig City, a Republic of the Philippines as the
Sister City of South San Francisco, California, U.S.A.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the
City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regul ar meeting held on the 22nd
