CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO OF INTENT TO
PROVIDE MATCHING FUNDS FOR THE TRAFFIC
SIGNAL PROJECT AT LINDEN AND BADEN AVENUES
WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco has applied and has
been recommended for One Hundred sixty-Seven Thousand Three Hundred
Dollars ($167,300) in Federal Intermodal Surface Transportation
Efficiency Act (ISTEA) funds for projects in the 1995
Transportation Improvement Program adopted by the Metropolitan
Transportation Commission (MTC); and
WHEREAS, local matching funds in the amount of Twenty-Two
Thousand ($22,000) will be provided by the City of South San
Francisco; and
WHEREAS, a prerequisite for receiving funds from the
Transportation Improvement Program is adoption of a resolution
indicating commitment to proceed with the project; and
WHEREAS, the funds would be utilized for the modification of
the traffic signals at Linden/Baden intersection;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the
City of South San Francisco, that:
1. The project will be completed exactly as submitted to MTC
in the request for funds.
2. The project will be completed by September 30, 1997.
3. Any project costs over the Federal funded amount of
$167,300 will be borne by the City of South San Francisco.

I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco at a reqular meeting held on the 26th day of
April , 1995 by the following vote:

Roberta Cerri Teglia and Mayor Robert Yee
