CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AIRPORT BOULEVARD
AND WESTBOROUGH'BOULEVARD TRAFFIC SIGNAL
INTERCONNECT AND APPROVING BUDGET AMENDMENT
CIP 95-7 TO THE 1994-1995 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT
BUDGET
WHEREAS, in August 1994, Caltrans requested projects be
submitted for their 1995 Traffic Systems Management (TSM) Plan; and
WHEREAS, South San Francisco submitted two projects which were
denied; and
WHEREAS, the projects were again submitted to Caltrans in
October 1994 which included the Airport Boulevard Project from
Grand Avenue to Sister Cities Boulevard in the amount of $144,000;
and
WHEREAS, the second project was the Westborough Boulevard
Signal Interconnect from Junipero Serra Boulevard to Skyline
Boulevard in the amount of $75,000; and
WHEREAS, both projects will interconnect the traffic signals
to improve the timing and traffic flow; and
WHEREAS, funding for the Airport Boulevard Project will come
from $144,000 TSM grant funds and $5,00 from the gas tax; and
WHEREAS, funding for the Westborough Boulevard Project will
come from $75,000 TSM grant funds and $50,000 from the gas tax.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of South San Francisco that:
1. It hereby amends the 1994-1995 Capital Improvement
Program Budget by adding two projects:

Westborough Boulevard Traffic Signal
Interconnect ............................ $125,000
2. It hereby authorizes an additional $5,000 from the gas
tax for the Airport Boulevard Project to cover costs which have
been incurred prior to the project funding being established and
which the State may not reimburse.
3. It hereby authorized and additional $50,00 from the gas
tax for the Westborough Boulevard Project to cover costs not
covered by the State Grant.
4. It hereby adopts this budget amendment to cover the costs
of these projects.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 14th day
